We all know we should work out, exercise, take a walk down the block because it’s good for our hearts, good for our weight, good for our overall health.
But there’s another reason entirely. On the tennis court today, toward the end of my hour-and-a-half drills, I had a revelation. Clarity about what I should do in my work, in my life. New understanding about why I do what I do and how I can do it better.
In my opinion, that’s the best reason to move my body. Not even for the physical benefits and the way my clothes fit better (though I really like that a lot). Because I get clear. Because the truth stands tall. Because the drama of the day dissipates and appears as silly as can be. Because I can finally stop taking myself so seriously.
