Ann Arbor, Michigan – June 2024

Lynne Golodner will facilitate a writers retreat in Ann Arbor, Michigan, June 28-30, 2024, at a private home on beautiful, forested acreage. This intimate retreat will gather writers to read, write, connect and wander in nature as inspiration for new material. The retreat begins Friday evening, continues all day Saturday and finishes before lunch on Sunday.

Tuition ($595 per person) includes two breakfasts and one lunch along with instruction and the option for feedback on one piece of finished writing. While there will be opportunities for sharing writing, this is not a workshopping retreat. Returning writers receive a 10% discount on retreat tuition. Payment plans are available upon request.

The focus of this retreat is generative, creating new work, inspired by deep contemplation and connection with others. Writing exercises will focus on the elements of story, finding inspiration from daily life, and weaving nature into storytelling. All levels and genres are welcome.

To apply, please email lynne@yourppl.com with a short note about why you would be a fit for this retreat plus a sample of your writing no longer than 750 words.

Every year, Lynne leads a group of writers on Mackinac Island, a lovely island in Lake Huron between Michigan’s peninsulas. In 2024, we’ll spend September 9-13, 2024, on the island, with an additional opportunity to participate in a half-day seminar on the Monday before the retreat begins Monday night. Lynne hosts this retreat in partnership with WritingWorkshops.com. Learn about this retreat here

Praise for Lynne’s retreats…

“This was an outstanding retreat. Lynne is a masterful teacher. She is prepared, yet flexible enough to pivot with class as needed. Furthermore, she has a depth of knowledge that allows for free discussions that were of high value. She also has excellent moderation skills which allow for all voices to be heard and a balanced discussion.”

“Thank you to Lynne for planning such a life-changing retreat!”
