I am having so much fun planning my first Marketing, Messaging, Media conference for the fall. It’s storytelling to build your business and ideal for anyone who runs a business or nonprofit or wants to, who needs guidance on marketing and public relations. (By the way, the discount code to register is Your People.)
It’ll be two packed days of dynamic speakers, including yours truly!! Some of my clients will present their success stories in PR and marketing endeavors. Plus, some inspiring people I am so lucky to know and love – Donna Orbovich, Nick Hansinger, Katherine Austin, Lisa Diggs and several others. Walsh College is hosting it – what a great collaboration!
I’ve always loved teaching. My entire life has been dedicated to writing and transmitting stories. It’s such a basic function and one that truly keeps us going – personally and professionally.
And I have spent my entire adult life cultivating mentor relationships and friendships where I am always learning, always inspired.
And now, I am bringing them to others with the passion and inspiration that drives me.
I’ve long believed that some companies can do many of the public relations and marketing functions they need themselves. Rather than hire a firm or expert like me on retainer, it’s easier to be coached, so to speak, in periodic consulting calls and try your hand at it yourself.
Some companies don’t want this and some companies have too many functions to take it in-house. But others have limited budgets and so they *can* dabble in PR and Marketing at home.
I’m a big believer in empowering others to run. What is that saying – give a man a fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.
It’s not starvation we’re overcoming, but in a way it’s a metaphorical hunger. Businesses need growth. They need brand awareness. They need stories that transcend a quick media mention. They need stories that stick, that brand ambassadors (i.e. satisfied customers turned cheerleaders) can repeat to anyone who will listen.
And it’s all of this that you’ll find at my conference.
I’m excited about this and hope you’ll take a look. You never know where it’ll take you. And I guarantee you’ll love the people you meet there. The relationships – and the stories – will build whatever you’re doing.
Stay tuned for more details!
