  • Author Talk: Friendship Fiction

Join Lynne Golodner & Annie Cathryn to discuss the importance of friendship in fiction. We’ll explore why it resonates with readers, why strong friendships are important to write about, and how it shows up in even the most popular fiction categories like romance and thrillers. While there are more love stories than true friendship novels, readers are craving heartwarming, powerful stories about good friends like Firefly Lane and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. Research shows that it’s really hard to make friends once you’re out of school and into adulthood. People read books to find what they may not have in real life or learn how to get it! And close adult friendships are one of those must-haves that everyone yearns. We’ll explore all of this in more, PLUS what we write, and how friendship factors into our books, including Annie’s The Friendship Breakup and Lynne’s forthcoming novel Two Lifetimes. And, we’ll giveaway one of each of our books to luck participants!
